This blog was created years ago to share teaching experiences and also help my students with suggestions of interesting sites to enjoy and learn. Things have changed a little since my retirement in 2015, but life is inspiring and I keep writing. You're welcome.

Carimbó Dance & iEARN Conference
Every year we prepare some Brazilian culture to share. This year we got in touch with Dona Onete's music and her fabulous history as well. She started as a composer in her 60's after she had retired from her teaching career. She was a history teacher and now a music celebrity inside and outside of Brasil, specially in the regions of Pará, Marajó Island and Amazonas where carimbó is more popular.
Special thanks to Roseli Ribeiro, Rose Rocha 's sister for having designed our carimbó clothes, thanks to her we looked like carimbó celebrities at the Cultural Night.
