This blog was created years ago to share teaching experiences and also help my students with suggestions of interesting sites to enjoy and learn. Things have changed a little since my retirement in 2015, but life is inspiring and I keep writing. You're welcome.
Stories are gifts. I received the gift of this Mexican tale at a workshop in 2014 at Brazilian British Centre, promoted by Cultura Inglesa, São Paulo. In the occasion teacher David Heathfield was invited to share his experience as a storyteller with English teachers of public schools.
Our school started a project and all groups have to research a different Latin American country, then I remembered this story and told it to some of my groups. Kids are still producing their drawings about the story. I will keep posting their drawings here.
